Washington County Behavioral Health Division, within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is recruiting for a Community Restoration Program Coordinator to join the Forensic team. This position provides services to those court-ordered to participate in restoration services. This position will have a heavy emphasis on strong collaboration across systems, including community mental health, jail medical services, and the courts. with the primary goal of improving health outcomes through collaboration with the individual, system providers and partners, and other organizations providing support. About the Opportunity:
Duties generally include administering budgeted funds and contracts for service, development, coordination, and evaluation of the program and participating in the more complex aspects of the work. This position may exercise functional or technical supervision over program and professional administrative support staff, volunteers, and students.  
 
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Research and develop strategies to improve Community Restoration services.    
  2. Design, develop, and implement an annual quality improvement plan for Aid and Assist, including Community Restoration services.
  3. Work with technical assistance agencies, providers, and other stakeholders to identify technical assistance and training needs.
  4. Act as liaison between the Department, local agencies, State agencies, service providers, and the public.
  5. Provide consultation, technical assistance, and training to services providers, agencies, and programs within specialty areas, and other stakeholders.
  6. Participate in staff advisory committees and coordinate meetings as necessary.
  7. Design, conduct, and direct research and data collection projects including problem identification, analysis, identifying resources, and evaluation.
  8. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with stakeholders and stakeholder groups. 

 

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the intersection of criminal justice and behavioral health, the Aid and Assist process, and basic program administration. They will have experience in facilitating cross-systems problem solving. They will also have experience in developing programs, including establishing protocols, collaborating with stakeholders, and quality assurance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in a social service, clinical psychology, counseling, or related field AND three (3) years of experience in the behavioral health field; AND
  • Certification by the Mental Health and Addictions Certification Board of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Professional or an approved clinical license and meet the criteria of a Qualified Mental Health Professional as defined in the Oregon Administrative Rules
