Washington County is now hiring a Senior Risk Management Analyst to join our Risk Management team! This position is responsible for adjudicating property and liability claims for Washington County. The individual in this role will use an empathetic people-centered approach to investigate claims against the County; providing expeditious resolution of claims with a focus on fiscal responsibility to the County and it's constituents. The Senior Risk Management Analyst will also collaborate with internal business partners to provide consultation in loss control and mitigation, streamline processes, and improve key performance indicators.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage all aspects of property and liability claims for the County in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, guidelines, industry best practices and statutory regulations. County departments and operations are vitally important to maintaining our commitment to provide services to County constituents and the public at large. The successful candidate will be a careful steward of public funds, possess keen insight of loss mitigation practices and be an active partner in maintaining the County's ability to deliver services to the public. The candidate will have strong relationship building skills and be able to work effectively with the County's internal business partners across a broad range of functions, outside vendors, and attorneys.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in occupational safety/health, public or business administration, risk management, social science, or a related field; AND six (6) years of professional-level experience in risk management, claims management, loss prevention, or workers' compensation. OR
  • Associate's Degree in occupational safety/health, public or business administration, risk management, social science, or a related field; AND eight (8) years of professional-level experience in risk management, claims management, loss prevention, or workers' compensation. OR
  • Ten (10) years of professional-level experience in risk management, claims management, loss prevention, or workers' compensation.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to successfully pass background investigation.
