About the Opportunity
In this position, you will be responsible for providing services to pregnant and parenting mothers, families, infants, and children through home visiting. Primarily, you will partner with families of newborns to help problem solve, connect to resources, help with breastfeeding, provide education about childhood growth and development, and encourage and support parents to be the best parents that they can be.
Typical duties may include, but are not limited to weighing and measuring infants, performing developmental screens on infants and children, screening hearing and vision on infants and children, assessing needs for community resources, coordinating care with primary care providers and other providers in the community, providing health literacy and parenting education on preventative health care, and providing immunizations and specialty follow up as needed. You will also provide prenatal education and care coordination for pregnant women, follow-up for post-partum depression, and referrals to mental health and substance abuse providers.
Due to the responsibilities of this role, this position is not eligible for remote work.

Bilingual Positions:
Designated bilingual positions require that the incumbent have knowledge of the Spanish language, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Skills in writing Spanish accurately; ability to speak Spanish fluently; and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing are required. Upon passing the bilingual fluency assessments, an additional $75/pay period for bilingual skills will be eligible to qualified employees. Pay periods are every two weeks.
