PURPOSE: To coordinate and supervise the community ministries program managers/directors including Nutrition Services, Second Home, HIV Day Center, and Community Health.
ACCOUNTABILITY: To the mission and goals of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon (EMO) as determined by the Board of Directors, and as administered by the Executive Director and their delegates.
REPORTS TO: The Executive Director
DIRECT REPORTS: EMO Community Health program directors and managers
LOCATION: EMO CORE office, HIV Day Center, EMO Nutrition Program, other sites as needed
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Exempt
BENEFITS: Salary range starting at $83,456 annually. All regular employees (does not include on-call or temporary) are eligible for vacation, holidays, sick leave, 401(k) retirement plan, employee assistance program and employee trainings. Employees in exempt positions or non-exempt positions that are 18 hours per week or more, also receive medical insurance, dental insurance, disability insurance and life insurance, per eligibility requirements.
Ability to work within the mission, vision and ethics of EMO, and maintain an understanding of the services provided by the programs and projects of EMO.
KNOWLEDGE: Three years progressive administrative experience in the field of direct services; Experience in management of diverse non-profit operations and finances; strong understanding on non-profit funding, especially government grants and contracts; training in Trauma-Informed Care; Must possess valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability; Experience working with faith communities.
SKILLS: Demonstrated professional management/leadership skills in a social services environment, including financial, personnel, and client service functions; Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, clients, related service providers, and appropriate community entities; Ability to create/maintain a productive and respectful work environment; Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to and affirm people from a wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances, especially to treat all individuals with respect and dignity.
EFFORT: High level of personal motivation and self-discipline in achieving project objectives; High level organization and prioritization skills and ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor.
RESPONSIBILITY: Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining a close relationship with supervisors and with the broader organization; Demonstrated ability to supervise multiple employees, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to work in a respectful manner with people of diverse ethnicity, socio-economic circumstances, religion, culture and sexual orientation; High tolerance for conflict, ambiguity and change.
Graduate degree in social work, community development, public health, public policy, divinity, community ministry or another appropriate field.
Qualifications to supervise Masters in Social Work (MSW) interns.
